5 Study Tips on How to Survive in School

Tip #1Participate to the class as much as possible. If you have something up in your mind, or answer to the question that is asked by your teacher, don’t be shy to raise your hand even if you’re not sure to your answer. What important is, you tried. This tip will help you to build up your confidence so start practicing it now.

Tip #2Jot down important notes while listening to the discussion. This tip is a perfect trick for you to survive in school. Also another tip for you to remember the lesson in that particular day is to review you notes when you go home.

Tip #3Let go of distractions while doing school works, or while studying. Specifically your phone, TV, game consoles and computer. Why do you need to let go of these? You need to do it because once you get distracted of something you will not be able to do works that is more important than the things mentioned above. Know your priorities.

Tip #4If you are overloaded with school works and stuffs and is confused on what, when and where to start, try doing the Steven Covey’s Four Quadrants  of  Work Life Balance tip. The image below is an example of this tip:

The first quadrant is Important and Urgent. The second quadrant is Important but Not Urgent. The third quadrant is Not important but Urgent, and the last quadrant is Not Important and Not Urgent. This tip is proven and tested by a lot of people especially the grown-ups. It will also help you to manage your time and to be more productive.

Tip #5“If you’re thinking of giving up, always remember why you started.” This quote helps me a lot whenever I faced a lot of difficulties in life. It is never ending battle, people. If you’re tired, it’s okay. Take a rest. But do not ever quit.
